What Is The Difference Between A Contract with a Data Feed and One Without?

Proformex works with many carriers to receive data at the GA/BGA level.  When a data feed is received, several things happen in the application. Read on to learn more.

Data points which are received from the carrier can be edited with an extra security step.

Since this data is direct from the Carrier, it is presumed to be a source of truth, however a User can edit the data.

If a user edits a data fed value, when they click 'Save', a warning text box will pop up to ensure the User wants to change the value:

Click 'Confirm' to save the values.  This action will be recorded in the contract's Change Log.

We tell you when the data was last updated.

When you are on a detail page for a contract with a data feed, look in the upper right corner.  We will display the date the data was received for the policy:

And when you hover over a data point, we tell you the date that particular value was updated.  Not all values are updated with every carrier feed, so that date may be different than the date shown at the top of the page.

If you find a value which you believe is incorrect with a policy- let us know.

We will research the issue to determine if the data was sent incorrectly from the carrier or if there was an issue with how the value in displayed by our application.  If the data was sent incorrectly from the carrier, you may need to contact the carrier directly to report the error so they can correct the value.  If the issue is on our end, we will work as quickly as possible to make sure the data is corrected.
